Chasing Shadows

Dublin Core

Abstract

In this first book of the South Shores Series, Claire Britten, a forensic psychologist, destroys a well-known lawyer, Nick Markwood, in a landmark case. However, when her client is mysteriously shot and killed outside the courthouse and she is hit in the crossfire, Nick uses the opportunity to ask Claire if she could work a case for him - one that's definitely personal. Teetering back and forth between helping the well-known lawyer with his charity case in St. Augustine and being unsure about leaving her 4-year-old daughter for a work assignment, Claire reminds herself that her narcolepsy makes travel even harder. She debates whether or not taking the case - and dealing with Nick - will be worth it?
