Chasing Shadows

In this first book of the South Shores Series, Claire Britten, a forensic psychologist, destroys a well-known lawyer, Nick Markwood, in a landmark case. However, when her client is mysteriously shot and killed outside the courthouse and she is hit in the crossfire, Nick uses the opportunity to ask Claire if she could work a case for him - one that's definitely personal.
