Abstract

John McQueen, later granted the identity Don Juan McQueen, has fled to St. Augustine to evade prison. However, this means he has had to leave his devoted wife, Anne, and their children behind in Savannah, Georgia. By gaining ties with notable heads of the Spanish government in the Ancient City, and only returning home for short, clandestine visits, will he lose the love of his life?

Other than Don Juan McQueen and his family, other historical personages mentioned in this book include: Governor Juan Quesada, Jesse Fish, William Panton, John Leslie, Alexander McGillivray, and more.

Local locations visited or mentioned in the text include the Governor's House (Governor's House Cultural Center and Museum), Treasury Street, Bravo Lane, Plaza de la Constitucion, the Cathedral Basilica, the Fr. O'Reilly House, and the St. Johns River.
