    <dcterms:abstract><![CDATA[While staying at the <a href="https://staugustinefiction.omeka.net/items/show/283" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Hotel Ponce de Leon</a> with his fiancée, George Allen Van Zant, from the Bluegrass region of Kentucky meets and befriends a young girl, Petronilla Pedro, who develops a crush on the older man. She has a great love of music and he pays for her to receive lessons. He leaves after his vacation and she grows up.
