Abstract
It is 1835 in Florida, and the 2nd Seminole War has started! Teenage cousins, Jack Raymore and Dick Moreton are going about their business when they save Osceola from Army scout, Eph Ashley. Osceola and Dick are already acquainted. The story explores the first year of the United States war with the Seminoles through the eyes of these characters. At the very end of the book, the narrative jumps forward to Osceola's capture in 1837.
