Abstract A summary of the resource. **Warning: Some of the language or characterizations in this book are the product of the time when this book was written, and are no longer considered acceptable.** Henry Woodward has always been a man of adventure. Luckily for him, his surgical services call him to all sorts of interesting places in North America and the Caribbean. Will he be getting in way over his head when his prospects begin to look more promising? And, how will he look back on his Spanish captors from his time imprisoned in St. Augustine? According to the author's note, this story and its events are a fictionalized account of the life and adventures of surgeon Henry Woodward (c.1646-c.1690). Many of the other characters are also based on historical personages.
