After being left in the care of a Jamaican nanny by his recently widowed father, Andrew Ranson must travel long and far to avoid the adversity of his impoverished life. Despite being happy in Jamaica with his childhood sweetheart, Elizabeth, life has other plans for them both. Can Andrew make it to St. Augustine and learn the truth of his heritage, or will a dangerous life on the sea prevent him from learning the truth?
