Love's Fortress

Abstract

A double-love story, Love's Fortress intertwines an 1875 love story with a modern-day struggle for closure. Sally Jo Harris always longed to serve God, but His plans for her seem to change when she meets Broken Bow, a Plains Indian incarcerated at Fort Marion. Dani Sango, whose estranged father was a famous art forger, does not even know where to start in creating closure from the shattered pieces of her family. But when she discovers something in her deceased father's home that might lead her to the answers she's been looking for, she asks for help from Brad Osgood, a museum curator - who, wary of her family name, does. The two quickly realize that the love story of Broken Bow and Sally Jo may be the key to solving the puzzle of Sango's family, but the records are incomplete, and the lovers' fates are yet another mystery. Will four different people find love, or will circumstances keep them apart?

Local locations visited or mentioned include, but are not limited to Fort Marion (Castillo de San Marcos) and the Matanzas River.
