Teenage Richard Carr's life is forever changed when the turmoil of the American Revolution makes its way down into the Southern Colonies in 1781. When he is left no choice but to run from his home with only his quick wit and skills with a rifle, Richard joins a band of Rebels along with his father. Francis Marion, "The Swamp Fox," gives him a secret and special mission - infiltrate British lines in Florida, and get to St. Augustine in search of Patriot political prisoners and treasure. Will he survive the violence of Revolution, the dangerous political situation of neighbor against neighbor with silver lining his pockets, or will he face his end on a British bayonet
