Abstract
Detective Morgan Ponce, a descendant of the original settlers of St. Augustine, works against time while investigating the murder of both an important congressman and his wife. Ponce digs up information on other government officials while avoiding threats to his life. Several local Minorcan names are also used for characters in this book.
Local locations visited or mentioned include, but are not limited to Lincolnville, the Castillo de San Marcos, the Bridge of Lions, the airport, Palm Valley, Guana River State Park (Guana River Wildlife Management Area), Anastasia State Park, and the St. Augustine Lighthouse.
