Abstract

Account of a Confederate soldier wounded at Sharpsburg who returns home to Picolata and joins the local partisans under the historical figure of Captain J.J. Dickison. His experiences and those of his Minorcan sweetheart from St. Augustine are recounted in this first volume by Hawke.

The other identifiable local location is the St. Johns River.
