Mariner Newland Dillard meets with his ex-lover, Belinda, after 28 years. They reminisce on their time in St. Augustine during the 70s when Newland fell in love with an archaeology student, Shawn, and her mysterious, paranormal existence and the involvement of all of them in a coven.

Local locations visited or mentioned include, but are not limited to St. Augustine Beach, the St. Augustine Lighthouse and Park, the Castillo de San Marcos, and the Matanzas River.
